Dry Needling

Dry needling (DN) is a large part of our practice. We use unique techniques and protocols that fit your specific condition that are backed up by evidence based practice. Our DN is unique and unlike any other practice in this area.

DN and acupuncture have similar methods such as the insertion of a thin monofilament needle into the skin, but the technique is different. Our techniques target muscles, tendons, musculotendinous junctions, ligaments, nerves, joints, and bones depending on your needs. We also use electrotherapy as part of our dry needling protocols called electrical dry needling. This further increases your healing results in therapy.

DN creates a local inflammatory response in or near the involved area. This inflammatory process creates a natural healing response followed by an increase in blood flow and cellular response to the area while helping to repair the site. In areas of dysfunction, this process helps to repair, remodel, and regenerate the structure of the tissues to help the area function optimally which in returns  gives you longer lasting results.

DN is a safe treatment strategy . You may have mild soreness 1-2 days post DN while most report of no soreness. There are both immediate and long term positive benefits to DN in both acute and chronic conditions. You do not want to miss the amazing effects DN provides.
