Jeremy Sims from Sims Physical Therapy and Balance Center, LLC saved my knee and Christmas! November 18, 2022, I injured my knee. I first thought that it was an injury that I needed to simply "work through." The next week was Thanksgiving, and I had a lot of baking and cleaning to do, so I tried to ignore the issue thinking it would work itself out. It got much worse. I was having to take some pretty strong pain medicine to get any relief. By Monday, November 28, I finally was able to see a doctor. The clinic told me it was not a break and prescribed physical therapy to help alleviate the pain. Dr. Sims worked me in to his schedule for that very day and began working with me. The techniques used by Dr. Sims helped me to recover much faster than I thought possible. After the first session I could take over the counter pain medication and feel relief, and by the second session I didn't need pain medicines much at all. Dr. Sims told me how to rest and exercise outside of our sessions in ways that would promote healing. He explained everything and taught me so much during our time together that I had complete confidence in his suggestions, and he always made sure to ask if I had any questions before I left. I had been told by several that had suffered similar injury that I would have to have surgery to correct the problem with my knee, but Dr. Sims' prognosis was to regain full mobility without surgery. I was out of my knee brace in just a few weeks and regained full mobility right before Christmas, so the baking and cleaning finally got done.Thank you SO much Sims Physical Therapy and Balance Center, LLC for helping me recover so quickly!!!

After practicing primary care medicine for 40 years, my wife and I retired to Smithville, MS in 2020. Approximately 12 years ago, while living in Georgia, I injured my back and was referred for physical therapy. It was more of an assembly line approach with limited interaction with the therapist or the PT aid other than applying ice, receiving ultrasound treatments, along with treatments with a TENS unit. I discontinued therapy because those modalities could be done at home at a significant savings of time and money. Fast forward 12 years; I reinjured my back, visited my primary care physician who told me about a new physical therapist in Amory and recommended him. An appointment was made and on my first visit I was highly impressed with how thorough Dr. Sims' examination, diagnosis, prognosis, and explanations were. Many of the things he related I knew, but some were new to me. His treatment plan, his attention to detail, his desire to see that my problem was corrected and not just palliated so that I would need to come back over and over again is rare in today's health care environment. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of time he took with me personally. There were no other patients being treated by him but me; and his charges spoke clearly that he was in the business of helping his patients and not out to make all the money he could. Through God's blessing and Dr. Sims' expertise and skill I progressed very well and was "kicked out" (smile) of therapy due to my rapid recovery!I know God leads us, and He led me to Dr. Sims! This is one time that a back problem turned out to be a blessing, because otherwise I may have never met this remarkable young man. I can't say enough about Sims Physical Therapy. Dr. Jeremy Sims and his staff made me feel at home the moment I walked in. I went in with knee pain due to osteoarthritis. Jeremy assessed my treatment plan, and China Odom worked with me to get my knees stronger. She was wonderful and very patient with me as I worked hard. If I ever need more physical therapy again, I will come back to Sims. Thank you all so much for all you did for me!
